A small amount of smoke at startup is normal for two-stroke equipment. Continuous heavy smoke usually means the fuel-to-oil ratio is too rich, the air filter is blocked, or the carburetor is running the engine rich. If blue-white smoke is constant and accompanied by poor performance, we diagnose the full fuel system.
