Side-by-Side and UTV Lighting Upgrades — LED Light Bars and Work Lights

LED lighting upgrades — light bars, pod lights, rock lights, and cab lighting — are among the most common upgrades we install on UTVs and side-by-sides. Done correctly, they add real utility for work or trail use. Done incorrectly, they can draw excessive current, cause electrical gremlins, or simply fail early. The difference is in the wiring: a dedicated relay with a fused circuit protects both the lights and your machine's electrical system.

What We Inspect

  • Mounting location — structural attachment, vibration resistance
  • Light bar current draw versus fuse and relay rating
  • Wiring routing — away from heat sources, moving parts, and pinch points
  • Waterproof connectors for exterior-mounted lights
  • Switch location and accessibility

Professional Diagnosis

Running LED light bars through the existing switch circuit without a relay overloads the original wiring and can cause fires or dashboard failures. We wire lighting upgrades with dedicated relays and fuses appropriate to the load.
